A. When should I expect delivery of my order?

BOMA eBook orders are processed immediately and you will receive an email with a link to download your publication within a few minutes. Orders for print publications should be processed within 48 hours from receipt of order. Based on the delivery method selected on your order, the corresponding shipment will be delivered based on the carrier’s ability.

B. What is the Return/Refund Policy?

New, unopened items sold and fulfilled by BOMA International may be returned for a full refund within 30 days of receipt of delivery. Refunds will be processed within 2-3 business days from receipt of the returned item. Items should be returned in their original product packaging. Items not eligible for return and refund are downloaded electronic publications and products, compact disks or publications in which the shrink wrap is damaged, slashed or opened.

C. What are my Shipping Options?

Shipping is FREE for all orders shipped using UPS Ground. If you would like to have your products shipped via expedited method (Next Day or Second Day) for an additional fee, please call our Customer Service team at 1-800-426-6292. Customer Service hours are Monday - Friday, 8 AM – 5 PM Eastern Time.

D. Does BOMA offer any discounts?

BOMA members receive substantial discounts on publication orders. Please visit the BOMA website for more information on BOMA membership and to contact your BOMA Local Association. Order both an eBook and print version of the same title and save 10% or more.

E. How will I know when my order has been processed?

When you place your order, be sure to enter your correct email address. Once you submit your order, you will receive an order confirmation email notifying you that your order has been received at our fulfillment center. If you do not receive an order confirmation email, please contact our fulfillment center at bomastore@pbd.com or toll free at 1-800-426-6292.

F. How can I track my order?

Once your order has shipped, you will receive a ship confirmation email that will contain your tracking number.

G. What happens when an item is out of stock?

If you place your order on the webstore, you will be notified that an item is backordered. If you choose to order the item, you will not be charged for the item until it is in stock and ships. You will be notified by email when your backordered item has shipped.

H. What are the different product types?

BOMA offers publications as eBook and as print on demand publications.

eBooks are electronic versions of the BOMA publications. To read an eBook, you will need to download the eBook reader. This eBook reader and your eBook purchase can be downloaded instantly as soon as your order has been completed.

Do I need special software or hardware to read eBooks? All eBooks will be viewed through Adobe Digital Editions (ADE) software. This Digital Rights Management (DRM) software will allow you to read your ebooks on up to six devices. ADE works on personal computers, tablets and smartphones. You will receive a link to download free reader software when you make a purchase of an eBook. You will only need to download the reader software once to your device.

Can I print and copy my eBooks? eBooks cannot be printed, copied or transferred.

Once I have purchased my eBook, will it always be available? Yes, once you have purchased the eBook it is yours. The title is stored in your Adobe Digital Editions library and you can access it at any time by logging in with your username and password. If you need to download your eBook again it will be available in your order history. Please contact our Customer Service team at 1-800-426-6292 if you have any problems downloading your eBook or have any questions about eBooks.

Print-on-Demand copies of BOMA publications will be loose, 3-hole punch pages so that they can be placed in a binder for easy access. Print-on-Demand publications are only available for return if the shrink wrap has not been broken. See BOMA’s return policy in Section B.

BOMA also offers a publication bundle consisting of both the print title and eBook for a discounted price, providing customers a flexible and convenient option to view and use their publications.

I. How can I purchase multiple copies of eBooks?

BOMA offers reduced pricing for multiple license orders. Licensing pricing is based on the number of licenses purchased—1 to 4 licenses, 5 to 9, 10 or more and site wide license (unlimited). For more information on publication licenses call our Customer Service team at 1-800-426-6292.

Do I need special software to download multiple licenses of a publication? BOMA publication licenses are distributed through Locklizard, a Digital Rights Management (DRM) solution. Purchasers will receive a link to the free download of the Locklizard Safeguard Secure Viewer. Once the viewer is downloaded, the purchaser will download and open the eBook license in the Locklizard Secure Viewer. The licenses can only be viewed on the personal computer where the Locklizard Secure Viewer has been downloaded. Please contact our Customer Service team at 1-800-426-6292 if you have any problems downloading your license or have any questions about licenses.

J. Who should I contact if I have a question about a BOMA area measurement standard?

BOMA has three official standard interpreters who can answer any of your questions. All purchasers of the BOMA Standards can contact any of the official interpreters below to have your questions answered free of charge.

K. What is BOMA International’s Privacy Policy?

BOMA International is a trade association representing the interests of the commercial real estate industry through advocacy, education, research, standards and information. BOMA International respects the privacy of its website visitors. The following Privacy Policy has been developed to disclose what types of information is gathered and tracked, how the information is used and with whom the information is shared.

What information is collected and how is it used?
Personal, identifying information is not collected from visitors to the BOMA International website unless this information has been voluntarily provided. All sensitive information sent to BOMA is kept confidential. However, please be advised that the BOMA website will query visitors’ browsers for certain information, such as

• the domain used to access the BOMA website,
• the type of computer operating system used,
• the IP address and type of browser used, and
• the day, month and year of the site visit.

This information is used to calculate the number of visitors to the different sections of the site, and to perform analysis of site behavior to continually improve the BOMA website experience. BOMA International does not sell or transfer to third parties any of the information collected automatically from every visitor.

What about “cookies”?
BOMA uses cookies to store and track certain information about its site visitors. A cookie is a small text file containing a unique identification number that is transferred from a website to the hard drive of the site visitor’s computer. This unique number identifies a site visitor’s web browser, but not the individual. A cookie will not provide personally identifiable information, such as name and address. The use of cookies is now an industry standard and cookies are currently used on most major websites. Most web browsers are initially set up to accept cookies. A browser can be reset to provide notification when a cookie is received. It can also be set to refuse to accept cookies altogether. While BOMA does not require the use of cookies, if you browse the BOMA site with the cookies option turned off, you will not be able to use many of the site functions, including access to the membership directory or other features in the secure members-only area.

How secure is my credit card information?
When placing an order from the BOMA Online Bookstore or registering for an event, your name, e-mail address, mailing address and credit card type/number/expiration date will be required. This information is used specifically to process your order. This information is not used for any other purpose. BOMA uses secure server software (SSL) that is the industry standard and among the best software available for secure commerce transactions. It encrypts all of the personal information, including credit card number, name and address, so that it cannot be read as the information travels over the internet.

How will my e-mail address be used?
Your e-mail address will be used for communications from BOMA International on BOMA products, services and educational offerings that relate to your areas of interest, unless you choose to opt-out.

How do I opt out of email communications?
Although most BOMA members and site visitors tell us they appreciate receiving email information from BOMA International, you may elect to opt out of receiving email at any time by simply following the opt out instructions posted to the email. If you continue to receive e-mail communications after you have unsubscribed, please contact BOMA International at info@boma.org or call 202-408-2662 and tell us which email communications you do not wish to receive.

Does BOMA share my email address with third party organizations?
No. BOMA International does not sell, rent or provide email addresses of its members, customers or site visitors to anyone.

Does BOMA rent its mailing list?
Yes, BOMA International does provide approved third-party organizations with the ability to rent the mailing list of its members. The list includes name, company and mailing address only. BOMA International’s policy prohibits the renting of BOMA member telephone and fax numbers and email addresses.
